Return Of The Squad

Ah, well, here we all are again.

So apart from our first away win of the season – at the fifth attempt – this week has been notable for the easing of our injury crisis. Not a moment too soon, if you ask me. First Henry returned, now Campbell is back, and come the weekend we’ll also be able to call upon the services of Jose Antonio Reyes and Freddie Ljungberg. Things are looking up.

Of course, we’re still not clicking in the same way we were at stages last season, but with some personnel stability we have a little less to battle against.

Just like the Vieira rumours that came and went with the seasons, I’m afraid we’re going to have to grin and bear the weekly – daily – Thierry Henry stories until he either leaves or signs a new contract. This morning’s comes from Sporting Life via the Daily Express, and claims “a source” told them our captain “reportedly” told friends “there’s no chance he would stay if he had to make a decision right now”. All concrete stuff, and backed up with hard fact, as I’m sure you’ll agree.

Well that’s that then. Expect the derby ding-dongs to start about now.
