Thick and fast they come – tonight we’re looking for our fourth win on the trot, in all competitions, against Porto in the Champions League.
And according to Cesc, the big problem for our players tonight will be working out how not to fall asleep mid-way through the game. “If Porto close up their defence and look for counter-attacks, it will be a fight to remain wide awake,” he said, to the Daily Star naturally.
The point being, I suppose, that having drawn their opener, a defeat would put the kibosh on their chances of progressing, so they’ll come for a draw.
Or they could come for a win… So what we’re saying here is that Porto have come for a win or a draw. Revelatory stuff, I’m sure you’ll agree.
And that’s about all I can muster this morning, sadly.
